MODEL MAYHEM PART 2: Bailey

Funny story about how I met Bailey. I was at Fred Meyers and I saw this girl with the most amazing blonde hair I had ever seen shopping for lettuce *lol*….I walked right up to her and the rest is history.
I cannot even believe what Heather did to Bailey’s hair. The first look was absolutely spectacular and even in all our planning I never could have imagined it would turn out to be the incredible piece of artwork it was. Amazing Heather…amazing! Bailey is such a goofball and isn’t afraid to have a lot of fun whatever she is doing. You can see tons of personality in her photos and her free spirit definitely had Heather and I laughing and smiling all day (rain AND shine). : )

Wow!

THE “LOOKS”

MODEL MAYHEM PART 2: Tayler
Heather and I wanted Tayler’s look to be a really edgy and artistic. We played around with a few ideas before we decided on her two looks. Down to the tiniest details we wanted to compliment her facial features in such a way that we wouldn’t lose her feminine beauty or cross over into the relm of strange. Tayler portrays a sense of mystery in her pictures and makes you question what you know about captivating beauty. I love the craziness of Tayler’s second look hair as opposed to the perfectly molded feel we saw with her first look. Tayler did an incredible job getting into character and having fun with this set. It was quite the experience to see her open up and have fun doing something she’s never done before.

Taelyn’s 3 Month Shoot
I always enjoy shoots where I get to visit people in their own homes and take pictures of them just being themselves and living life. I am not sure what my colleagues do (??), but I choose to take most of these family sessions in the natural light of people’s homes. I am both amazed and intrigued at how lighting changes so much in my photos: the mood, the depth, the colors, the raw “emotion”…. In a way it makes every shoot unique. I love that! : )

I am going to miss that cute tummy when she gets bigger and loses all her baby chubs *sniff*

Our little blue eyed baby is getting so big! It seems like just yesterday we were taking newborn pictures.

The picture of baby’s hands in the upper right is my favorite. So precious.

Momma Amber is so beautiful in these pictures (above and below). Taelyn loves her mommy : )

MODEL MAYHEM PART 1
In the coming weeks I will be sharing some amazing pieces. This kind of work is new and different for me, yet it seems to fit my personality and style more than I could have ever dreamed. Art photography is something I’ve realized I am passionate about and want to pursue as much as I can (along with weddings, families, seniors, etc…of course!) Heather Washburn of Heather’s Hair Design and I will be teaming up for two more shoots in New York City (February) and Las Vegas, NV (March).
I am so excited with how our first team session went (below) and will share the second half of this amazing shoot before we fly out to NYC on the 31st.

Congratulations Kelsey and Bryant. So pretty!

These shoes remind me of The Wizard of Oz.
Great shot Rosy!

I love all the expressions and feelings I see in Kelsey’s face amongst the chaos of everyone getting ready.

Our handsome groom: Mr. Bryant Hawthorne

This is a gorgeous picture. I love the curve of Kelsey’s neck and the way her veil cascades around her shoulders. *sigh*

The attitude in Bryant’s face here is priceless. I can almost picture him saying, “Mine!”

A fleeting, magical moment caught by assistant Lisa. Kelsey you look absolutely stunning.

This wedding was shot by Eternal Grace Associate Rosy and her assistant Lisa. It was Lisa’s first wedding and she did a fabulous job both helping Rose and taking beautiful pictures. Thank you Rosy for stepping into my shoes only two days after Christmas so that I could be there for my little sister and her new baby Charis Providence Sligar. You did a good job little Rose and Lisa. And Rosy–it has been a pleasure to watch you grow and develop as a photographer this past year. Love you endlessly!! -Amber

Meet Andrea & Josh
Hi everyone! Here’s a little about our story…
In the Spring of 2007, these little lovebirds found themselves in a Sociology class where Josh unknowingly stole Andrea’s seat (due to his poor attendance during the first week of the semester), when Andrea had already established “her seat”. Josh interpreted her approach to his row as interest, and began an awkward dialogue with his new love interest. Due to some unseen force, that first uncomfortable conversation was the start of this relationship. J After a few years of dating, and too many hours on the phone (due to a stint of long-distance), they decided they wanted to tie the knot! Both have a heart for serving people, and thus have pursued careers in nursing and social work. After all the time we have spent together, we think it’s fair to say we’re better together than apart. We both amaze and inspire each other daily, and feel blessed to have found one another. We are excited to start our lives together and support each other as we each strive to help others through their lives.
~Andrea & Josh

This shot is one of my favorites. They are so comfortable with each other and it really shines through in their pictures : )

It was one of those rare sunny Spokane days. Beautiful!

One of the classics

I think that these two pictures capture Josh’s gentle spirit and strength in beautiful way

Andrea definitely has one of those amazing giggle faces. Can’t wait for the wedding!
